Name:Fudo Yuusei (Deaf- TimeFlip reset#???)
Birthdate:Jul 7
Location:United Kingdom
From the same AU as TimeFlipped Kiryu - and, in fact, from that Kiryu's past.

Yuusei is a Signer, and although he doesn't know it, the power of his birthmark comes from something evil and manipulative rather than benign.

Way back in time, he was approached by Kiryu, and he, Crow, Jack and their new friend formed Team Satisfaction. Everything went well. Satellite was protected from itself in a way, and they helped teach budding duelists how to bring out their potential, cards being rare and sought after goods even and especially at that time.

Then, Jack was approached by someone from the City, as Yuusei later found out. He was given an option; remain in Satellite, or become King. With only one condition...

Stardust, and his bike.

Yuusei was too late for Stardust, instead choosing to save Rally, but in building his own D-Wheel simple as it was, Kiryu had inadvertently given him the perfect tool to go after Jack. And when Kiryu mentioned - without anyone knowing or understanding how he would know such a detail - that Jack was probably on his way through the pipes by now, Yuusei didn't waste a moment, taking off with the silent promise to his friend and the Team's old leader that he'd bring his bike back in one piece.

A promise that he would end up having to break when, even though he almost caught up with Jack, the pipe shutters closed a moment too late for him to go after him. And a freak explosion within the pipes threw him off the bike, turning Kiryu's hard work into scrap metal.

Kiryu and Crow would find him there later, Security having noticed the blip but not thought it necessary to go in. If he was still alive, he'd get himself out, they reasoned. And if he wasn't - well, he could wait a while. He wouldn't be going anywhere.

They would drag him back to their hideout, and nurse him back to health, cooling the burns and cleaning the cuts and scrapes. But there was one thing that neither of them - not even Kiryu, with already well over a hundred years' of experience - could help with.

Yuusei, in the explosion, had lost most, if not all, of his hearing.

For reasons beyond the other two, Kiryu blamed himself. For having built the D-Wheel, for having let slip where Jack was. And in some ways he saw it as his responsibility; this wasn't the end of the world, right? They could live with this. There had to be something he could do...

Kiryu disappeared one night, gone for a week, the remaining two beginning to wonder if he'd been caught by Security by the time he came back carrying a book.

The reason he'd been gone so long was because it was taken from the Old Momentum library, and although he'd known it was there, he hadn't known where. Not to mention, having to reach the place, going through BAD and needing to allow his 'true self', his Dark Signer robes and eyes, to show through in order to get there without being hassled, and get in without someone attempting to kill him.

It was a book on Japanese Sign Language. Yuusei could still speak - he was deaf, not mute - but his inability to hear what he was saying caused no small amount of problems, sometimes words being too loud and other times spoken too quietly, or with the wrong intonation.

Kiryu helped him learn, and Crow joined in, more than willing to go along with anything that would help Yuusei communicate properly. But then the questions began to arise - how did Kiryu find the book? It was in very good condition. Not to mention, although Yuusei didn't say anything, he could still see the 'M.I.D.S Library' stamp within the first couple of pages.

They would later wish they'd never said anything. Kiryu disappeared without a trace within weeks of their first question.

Three years would pass, and Yuusei became incredibly fluent, and increasingly good at calling his moves in a duel through practice, Crow or the others telling him 'louder' or 'quieter' or 'wrong word!' whenever needed. It was frustrating, but it was also a challenge.

Then, finally, he thought himself ready to take the new D-Wheel he'd been preparing, and go to find Jack. Properly, this time.

Jack repeatedly chastised Yuusei for not saying anything before their duel, and raged at how the only things he would say during the duel, were duel-oriented. And when the duel was over, and Yuusei, stressed, reverted to using his hands to speak, jack still didn't understand.

Yuusei was taken back to Satellite, to the Facility, which he was later able to break out of, although it took old man Yanagi a little more effort to attempt explaining what Signers were, and that Yuusei might be one.

But he did, eventually, escape - and with his D-Wheel. He made it into the City, and was looked after by Rua and Ruka, although they couldn't understand him most of the time and they had to resort to using written or typed notes.

Jack found out during the Fortune Cup. Not having the wind rushing past his ears, he could hear how Yuusei's voice was different, a strange monotone with barely any understanding of tone or pitch or volume any more. And when Rex Godwin allowed him to see the Security file on his friend in order to explain...

The truth was there in cold black and white. 'Deaf'. And he'd heard something loud behind him as he'd exited the tunnels.

Despite this handicap, Yuusei was still able to win the Fortune Cup.

For roleplay purposes, he's taken from while he was staying with Crow by the Daedalus Bridge, before where - in canon, at least - he would have duelled Kiryu.

In the AU reset timeline, Kiryu instead comes riding up on his 'new' D-Wheel - the Giganto-L - but in appearance not a Dark Signer, causing Crow and Yuusei to still treat him as an old friend.
